Q&A
1. Is there an option to post new yachts or post yacht info?
BMA: There is no possibility to add new boats through the API because the documents of the boats needs to be verified by Booking Manager Team before activating the boat.
2. As for agent using the search widget on the website, I would like to limit the search engine to show boats only by some criteria as for example not older than 7 years etc.?
BMA: Several filters can be applied to the widget like preselected country, model or type. In the manual HERE you will find all the parameters that can be used.
3. Can I track user activity with Google Analytycs inside the Widget?
BMA: Yes, Google Analytycs trackers can be added to the Widget. This is an Iframe solution so the tracking possibilities might be limited.
4. I’d like to understand whether responses are cached by your system or if all requests are processed in real time, and whether there are any recommended caching headers or strategies we should implement on our website for optimal performance.
BMA: Booking Manager database is a live, real-time database. We recommend API users to cache some data to optimise the performance of the website like prices, boats information and bases. For example you can update prices overnight and new yacht info once a week. You can do a live call to check the availability and price of a specific boat at a specific date when a client on your web requests and offer or a booking.
5. Is there a plan for Wordpress plugin or any other solution for integration with Worspress site, which will include implemented, preprepared API solution?
BMA: Booking Manager API can be integrated in a Wordpress website. Currently there is not an off the shelf solution for Wordpress websites.
6. Is there any future plan for rest api mock (sandbox) and soap whenever I use to rest api or soap it directly calls to production,It makes integration hard to us
BMA: While there is no sandbox or test environment for the API integration, you can ask access to a demo company in the production environment to test your integration.
